The interactive environmental education facility “Wattenhuus” at the Nordseeheilbad Esen-Bensersielan concentrates on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea. At the “Wattenhuus” the importance of the Wadden Sea for the animal and plant world is displayed in different stations, which offer the visitors the opportunity to interactively learn about the habitats watts, salt marsh and the North Sea.
Currently, the handicraft workshop “Animal Swarms” runs, where fishes and birds are designed from templates, which will be presented at the end of the year in an exhibition. The donations collected during the workshop go partly into the conservation actions of our organization.
