Gibbon – Voice of the forest

8:30 am. The forest in northern Kachin State in Myanmar near Lake Indawgyi finally awakes completely. From one moment to the other the variety of bird songs are drowned by the impressive singing of several group of Gibbons of the species Hoolock leuconedys.  The sound of the apes is coming from all directions. Gibbons are monogamous and highly territorial. Male, female and infant are protecting their territory from intruders using impressive songs with several syllable and verses.
